About the J-U-B Young Professionals

The mission statement for the J-U-B Young Professionals (YPs) is “encouraging collaboration, growth, and opportunities for future leaders of the company in pursuit of J-U-B’s Purpose.” The YPs represent the next generation of J-U-B. Each J-U-B office has its own YP group, which organizes events and initiatives for personal and professional development. The YP group represents members from all teams across the company, regardless of career path or technical role.

Companywide, YPs work directly with leadership to help shape the future of the company. We proudly champion the growth of our YPs, the future leaders who will carry J-U-B’s legacy forward. Through providing opportunities for learning and leadership, we ensure that the company torch is passed to capable and inspired hands.

The History of Young Professionals at J-U-B

For some time, J-U-B had hosted corporate YP meetings every few years to bring its young professionals together from across the company to network and collaborate. Seeing the value in these meetings, a small group of Utah YPs proposed a new vision: the formation of a robust network of local and regional YP groups to enhance the skills and experience of newer employees on a more regular basis. After getting approval from company leadership, the Utah Young Professionals group was formed. The Utah YP Committee began hosting monthly events, including social activities, trainings, project tours, and more.

In 2023, the Utah YP program was adapted companywide, and the corporate YP leadership team was formed. The YP leaders met with the executive officers of J-U-B to share their proposed mission statement and goals for this new group. J-U-B leadership met the idea with overwhelming support, both encouraging its mission and welcoming the input of YPs on how to improve J-U-B.

Since 2023, the YP leadership team has met regularly to discuss initiatives, events, and curate ideas to share with J-U-B’s leadership to enhance the company’s progress. Each office also hosts local YP events to promote comradery, technical excellence, and a positive work experience for all professionals.

In 2025, YP Leadership planned and executed the J-U-B Young Professionals Summit in Spokane, WA which brought together over 180 professionals from across the company. YPs had opportunities to participate in service projects, expand their network of peers and coworkers, and attend technical sessions covering all manner of personal and professional development topics. J-U-B plans to continue these all-company YP gatherings every few years to encourage the progress of the Young Professionals into the future.
