J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is proud to recognize Ray Watkins, Electrical Engineering Group Manager (EEG), for his 10 years of dedicated service on the Idaho Board of Licensure of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Concluding two five-year terms from September 2015 through May 2025, Ray was recently honored with the title of emeritus member.
During his tenure, Ray held multiple leadership positions—including two terms each as Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chair. Originally appointed by Governor Butch Otter in 2015 and reappointed by Governor Brad Little in 2020, Ray brought his extensive experience as a professional engineering consultant to the Board. His expertise proved invaluable in evaluating licensure candidates, overseeing disciplinary matters, and contributing to legislative and regulatory actions shaping the future of engineering and surveying in Idaho.
Ray also played a direct role in writing and revising legislation affecting the practice of professional engineering and land surveying. His thoughtful leadership and commitment have left a lasting impact on the profession statewide.
As Ray concludes this chapter, he looks forward to new opportunities while continuing to exemplify J-U-B’s commitment to leadership and service in the engineering community.
