Project Overview: US-30 Corridor Study in Pocatello, Idaho
J-U-B ENGINEERS conducted a transportation study on a section of the US-30 corridor in Pocatello, Idaho, to evaluate existing and future traffic conditions and collaborate with public stakeholders to identify current issues. Despite challenges from local staff in creating a signal coordination plan, J-U-B successfully developed one using VISSIM microsimulation software.
Public Engagement and Project Identification
To support community engagement, J-U-B created an interactive public website (3P visual) where citizens could pinpoint concerns on a map and submit comments. The mapped input from the public was used to help identify and prioritize needed transportation projects in the corridor.
