Project Overview
The Old St. Vrain Road Bridge Replacement project involved the removal and replacement of the existing bridge over South St. Vrain Creek, along with roadway improvements east of the bridge site. The new structure was a 180-foot single-span prefabricated structural steel truss bridge with a non-composite deck, designed to improve safety and extend the service life of the crossing. In addition to the bridge replacement, major project elements included full pavement replacement, construction of new bridge abutments, riprap bank protection, channel grading and stabilization, installation of channel drop structures, and the addition of approach and departure guardrails. These improvements enhanced structural integrity, safety, and environmental resilience throughout the project area.
