OVERVIEW

J-U-B has been the Lindon City Engineer since 1984. During that time we have performed hundreds of projects for Lindon City, in addition to a wide variety of routine engineering services. Our work for Lindon has included multi-million dollar to very small capital improvement projects. These include:

  • Sewer lift stations
  • Transmission lines
  • Water pump stations
  • Water tanks and reservoirs
  • Utility master planning and modeling
  • Traffic analyses
  • Structures
  • Parks and trails
  • Street improvements
  • GIS planning and mapping

For example, the 700 North Project was a 1.5 mile multi-phase project that consisted of a new major collector providing access from two state highways towards an I-15 interchange, including sanitary sewer, storm water, culinary water and secondary water. Our work included environmental and alignment evaluation, negotiations with property owners, funding assistance, utility and roadway design, a railroad crossing, access management planning, traffic signal design, construction observation and contract administration, topographic surveying and construction staking.

The Lindon Heritage Trail is a regional trail that will extend the length of Lindon from the foothills on the east to Utah Lake on the west. J-U-B has designed and performed construction engineering for two phases of it over the last several years and is currently designing the last phase of it, all of which involved federal funding. The first two phases were about four miles long and included a tunnel under State Street, a bridge over Lindon Hollow Creek, and at-grade crossings of a state highway and a railroad. Our work included environmental services, land surveying, public involvement, structural design, scour analysis and utility relocations.

The Main Sewer Outfall Line and Geneva Road Lift Station Replacement Projects were projects to replace the main 18″ sewer outfall line for all of Lindon with a 24″ line, and replacement of a lift station on the main sewer outfall line. The projects included crossing a state highway and running the new line down another state highway and excavations 15 to 20 feet below the water table. J-U-B performed design and construction engineering, including topographic and construction surveying, hydraulic analysis and structural design.
