Southridge Area Master Plan
Client: Kennewick, WA
J-U-B, Kimball Fritzemeier Architects and Land Strategies LLC teamed together to provide a master plan for over 2200 acres in the south Kennewick area. Team tasks included an analytical review of existing and potential Kennewick land uses including commercial, residential, recreational, industrial and civic uses; inventory, availability and costs of sanitary sewer, water, communication services and transportation networks to the area; housing and industrial land development trends in Kennewick and the Tri-Cities; development of two urban design plan alternatives; and community involvement. Some unique elements of the plan included the investigation of gray water usage and novel implementation strategies including transferred development rights.
